BLUEBERRIES TO IMPROVE THE HEALTH OF EYES

CAN BLUEBERRIES IMPROVE THE HEALTH OF EYES ?
A patient said **My optometrist informed me I have high astigmatism. Even with adjusted glasses. I find that my EYES tired easily and that prevents me from enjoying reading. I am on 25,000(iu) international Units of vitamin A daily. Will this help to alleviate the problem?**

If your EYES are becoming tired and sore when you read, it can certainly reduce the enjoyment of reading. I notice that you are 25,000 iu of vitamin A. May I suggest that you reduce this to 5,000 iu and take beta carotene instead, which is pro-vitamin A, along with vitamins A, C and E. You can buy an anti-oxidant formula containing vitamins A, C and E where the vitamin A is beta carotene. As far as herbal remedies are concerned. I would suggest that you include blueberries in your diet. Research has shown that blueberries help to improve the health of the EYES and the production of visual purple which is often destroyed during exposure to bright lights, television screens or computer screens.
